Yes, it’s overwhelming. Does it feel like it’s moving a mile a minute? Yes, well it is. And will it calm down? Let me ask AI…

According to Perplexity AI (yes, that is their name), no slowdown is expected. In fact, that AI software market is expected to grow at an annual rate of 25% and businesses integrating AI rose from 55-78% from 2023 to 2024. That’s not to say the level in which they are integrating AI. I imagine that can be quite a range from just tapping into it to answer questions to altering the full process by which that company operates.

However, you will hear things like 65% of life science professionals believe AI is overhyped (BioKnow Gen-AI Usage in Biopharma August 2024). And while AI is definitely proving to be helpful in a of ways… the adoption is growing so fast, that we already know all the bugs haven’t been worked out and all the regulations are not yet in place.

While ChapGPT, Gemini, Claude and the many even versions with this version, it can become overall, quite Perplexing. A great video I found:
